A Preface to Rudramata Dam:
First of all, when you think about reservoir what comes in your mind? You think of stored water in form of lake or pond created artificially or naturally. One such reservoir is in Bhuj. Also known as Rudrani dam, the biggest dam or reservoir which provides water to different parts of Bhuj city. Rudramata reservoir is the biggest artificial reservoir in Bhuj.
How to reach Rudramata?
There is no public transport that directly leads you there but you can use public buses to reach nearest. From there walking 500 meter leads to location but the best way to reach there is personal vehicle if you don’t have any you can book one.
Rudramata is around 17 km from Bhuj city.
What is the best time for Rudramata?
This place is not a great tourist attraction as a result, you won’t find many people visiting this place. Yet the best time would be to visit will be on holidays or weekends. Mostly in evenings or mornings. Weather is great during those timings.
Food and water availability:
If you are planning to spend some time here, you may consider packing some food and water. You can still get water from temple beside but for food you have limited or no option. Tour won’t take much time considering the size of the reservoir.

Being careful of:
In monsoon season the reservoir site gets overflowed.
No security or lifeguard so, be careful while your visit.
